They are also puzzled over the identity of the caller whom Hsiao D refers to as 親愛的 (darling). Just as Yu Tin finally has a clue of what the ingredients of secret pastry are, Hsiao D throws him off by assigning her to bake scones for a fastidious 74-year-old man who lives in a colonial house.
