In 1970s Sonora, Antonio, a young Latino man, is consumed by grief following the death of his younger sister, Luna. Paralyzed by the fear of forgetting her, Antonio refuses to open the door to her untouched bedroom, believing that packing away her belongings would mean erasing her from existence. His mother, burdened by her own sorrow, believes it’s time to let go and move forward—but Antonio clings to the past, haunted by what was and what will never be again. As tensions rise within the home, Antonio begins experiencing vivid visions—fragments of tender, bittersweet memories with Luna that blur the line between reality and fantasy. These encounters grow more frequent, drawing him deeper into a world where his sister still exists. Torn between staying lost in these comforting illusions or confronting the painful reality of her absence, Antonio must choose whether to preserve her memory by living in the past, or to find peace by finally letting her go. This quiet, emotional portrait explores how memory, grief, and love collide in the aftermath of loss, set against the warm yet aching backdrop of rural Mexico.
