The film follows Alice, a woman pregnant with her husband's child. After noticing her maid's growing affection towards her, Alice starts pulling away, scared of what might come from such a forbidden thing during the time. However, after learning of her husband's infidelity, and his growing resentment towards her, Alice is given the choice between staying quiet, or doing what every woman in her situation wishes they had the courage to. With help from the maid, Alice is pushed in a direction she never thought to even try.
