Rashon Evans is a young man caught between two worlds. One of these worlds explores gang related activities under the guidance of his uncle Kane. As the film opens, Rashon experiences something he’s never experienced before, seeing someone brutally murdered by his own uncle. Rashon is fully initiated into his uncles crew as he’s the one who helped found out they had a mole in the crew. We later find out Rashon has been sneaking around doing theatre behind his uncles back. His teacher and mentor Director Nate sees a lot of himself in Rashon as he use to be part of the street life alongside Roshan's uncle. Rashon is moved up from understudy to lead the same night of the murder. This forces the two worlds to start clashing in each other. Kane begin to suspect something is up when Rashon starts missing meetings. After finding out Rashon has been doing theatre, he tells him to leave the art world. Rashon returns to the theatre to let the director know, The director reveals his background to Rashon. At the end, Rashon decides to stand up to his uncle by missing an important drop where he was an essential part of the operation. He decides to make his performance on stage a priority and delivers a moving piece all while Kane watches from the audience. Kane walks away at the end.
