Raquel, a sour and introverted woman, has been working for 23 years as a nanny for the Valdés family, an upper-class family from Santiago. One day, Pilar, her employer, hires another nanny to help her. Raquel, feeling that her place in the family is in danger, scares the newcomer away with cruel and childish psychological abuse. This situation repeats itself over and over again until Lucy arrives, a cheerful woman from the provinces, who manages to break through Raquel's shell and change her way of seeing life.
