Dr. Bijan Saber, chief of a hospital in Tehran, sends his teenage son Bobby (Babak) and American wife Susan to the US for safety when Iraq starts bombing. Unbeknownst to Susan, Bobby joins a street gang and is taken hostage when she takes a photo of a gangster committing a murder. Bijan returns to LA to rescue Bobby, and the incident leads Susan to decide to stay with her husband wherever he is.
