A newly married couple, MEL and IKE, inherit a family home, during the tumult of 2020. They give up their city life hoping to find refuge in the Adirondacks. It doesn’t take long for Ike to question their choice to leave their old life behind. The vastness of the land is overwhelming. Shortly after they move, they invite their friends, TAYLOR and ARJUN, to visit. One night a single lantern appears in the distance, luring ARJUN from the house. He disappears into the woods. The next day, a frantic TAYLOR decides to go look for her partner. Soon after, she too falls prey to a sinister force waiting in the darkness behind the trees. Now, MEL and IKENNA must confront whatever is lurking in the woods in order to try and save their friends. It’s not long before they find themselves lost in time, trapped in the echoes of the land's old stories. Are they being haunted? Or is the paranoia of loneliness driving them mad? And is there really any way to stop history from repeating itself?
